Field Pond... without the pondl!

Mike Tucker found this great slide (click for large image) he took of Field Pond after it had been drained once to recover fish. Mike wrote: "We also had a severe leakage problem one year and the pond almost dried up on its own but Sue had them look into the problem and they fixed it to a degree. The pond was drained annually for about the first 10 years we lived here and then state money was not available to breed and recover the fish. (One year large mouth and then small mouth bass.) This could happen again if we are not closely watching the problems with the pond. i.e. plant growth, leakage, eroding retaining pond walls, drift wood that clogs the run off and many other concerns." Yikes!
